Lois Elaine McRoberts (Omsberg) died November 10, 2013 at her home in Hager City, Wis. surrounded by her family. She was born in Red Wing, Minn. on May 4, 1944. She lived with Roland and Jeannette Nelson in Rural Hager City and attended Ellsworth High School. She married William McRoberts on October 27, 1961 in Bethel Covenant Church. They lived happily in Diamond Bluff for 42 years and, in later years, moved to Hager City.
She worked at the Red Wing Shoe Company for 25 years. She enjoyed her children, her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. She also enjoyed watching old movies on TV and watching wildlife, particularly the birds, squirrels and rabbits. Her family and friends will miss her dearly and will remember her as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and friend.
She is survived by her four children, Debbie (Jeff) Pederson of Bay City, Wis., Tammy (Andy) Levy of Onalaska, Wis., William (Anna) McRoberts of Hager City, Dawn (Al) McRoberts of Hager City; her mother, Jeannette Nelson; sisters, Vicky (Rory) Golden of Lake City, Minn., Alice (Nelson) Bremerton of Hager City and Gloria (Mike) Nelson of Hager City; brothers, Richard (Sandy) Beckman of Tucson, Ariz., Allan Nelson of Hager City, Larry (Kim) Nelson of Hager City and Dale (Holly) Nelson of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.; 11 grandchildren, Tisha (Darin) Krig, Mandy Siepelmeyer, Jessica (Rich) Hoeschen, Emily (Josh) Arneson, William (Cassie) McRoberts, Toni Daffinson, Devin Pederson, Matt (Jessica) McRoberts, Sarah Daffinson, Nate McRoberts and Kyle McRoberts; seven beautiful great grandchildren; sister-in-laws, Carol Omsberg of Comanche, Texas and Marcy (Bud) Boldt of Red Wing; brother-in-law, Bob (Midge) McRoberts of Hager City as well as several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband William since May 8, 2007; sister, Mary Larson; brother, Harold Omsberg; father, Roland Nelson and grandson, Aaron Siepelmeyer, nephew and niece, Ryan and Kari Krause.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m., Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Bethel Covenant Church, Ellsworth with Reverend Dave Hugare officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at church. A private family burial at Trenton Cemetery will take place at a later date.
