Lois A. Lohman, age 82, of Rochester and formerly of Goodhue, died on Sunday, November 4, 2007 at Madonna Towers in Rochester. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at 2:00 PM at the Madonna Towers Chapel with Reverend James Mattson of Zumbro Lutheran Church and Sister Carol Axtmann officiating. Burial will be in Zumbrota Cemetery on Wednesday at 3:45 PM. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday from 12:30 PM until the time of service.
Lois Ardelle Lohman was born on August 10, 1925 in Goodhue, MN to Arthur and Julia (nee Greseth) Lohman. She grew up in Goodhue and graduated from Goodhue High School in 1944. After working in the cities and for her family's business, she was a long time employee of the Mayo Clinic, with many years at the Central Appointment Desk. Her interests included the activities of her church, the "Lois" club, the Red Hat Society, and the Mayo Clinic Women's Club, for whose meetings she arranged speakers and programs for many years. In retirement, she traveled extensively, enjoying many vacations with friends, mystery trips, and special trips with her sisters.
Lois is survived by two sisters, Carol Eppen of Chatfield and Judy (Joseph) Hines of Prescott, WI; one brother, James (Sandra) Lohman of Zumbrota; nine nieces and nephews; and eighteen great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother-in-law and a nephew.
The family suggests memorials to Madonna Towers or Zumbro Lutheran Church.
