Lois Jane Barry

Lois Jane Barry, 91, of Red Wing, died Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Three Links Reflections in Northfield. She was born on January 9, 1925 in Red Wing to Reuben and Catherine (Collinge) Holmquist. She graduated from Red Wing Central High School in 1943 and then attended medical technician school in Minneapolis. For two years she worked at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester. In 1947 she moved to Red Wing and started working for Northwestern Bell for 12 years. On August 9, 1958 she married John Orville Barry in Willmar. She lived there from 1958 until 1990 when she moved to Red Wing. John died in 1981. She was a member of the Church of St. Joseph, Telephone Pioneers and volunteered at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar for 12 years.

Survivors include one son, David, one granddaughter, Stephanie Beck, one grandson, Paul Duncan; two great grandchildren and one brother, Bob (Jean) Holmquist. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
