ROCHESTER The memorial service for Lois E. Gardner will be Noon Thursday at Mahn Family Funeral Home Rochester Chapel with Chaplain Carol Shaffer of Seasons Hospice officiating. Interment will be in Chatfield Cemetery at a later date.
Mrs. Gardner, age 84, of Rochester, passed away Tuesday (Sept. 1, 2009) at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Lois Elaine Rockvam was born April 17, 1925 in Mazeppa, MN. She was raised in southeastern Minnesota. On Sept. 15, 1945 she married Paul E. Gardner in Chatfield. The couple lived in Chatfield and Two Harbors, MN before farming in the Eyota area for thirty years. They moved to Rochester in 1984. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and babysitting.
She is survived by her loving husband Paul, her daughter Shari Gardner of Rochester; her son David of Holden, LA; her granddaughter Sabreana McElfresh; her grandson Zebadiah Gardner; and her brother Norman (Louise) Rockvam of Rochester. Her daughter Linda Gardner, son Larry, and brothers Melroy, Eldred, Gerald, and Donnie, preceded her in death.
Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to noon at Mahn Family Funeral Home Rochester Chapel and a reception will follow the memorial service.
