Lois Jane Fischer, 95, of Red Wing, died Monday, January 22, 2024, at St. Crispin’s Living Community. She was born on August 8, 1928, in Winona to Frank and Lena (Lutz) Drexel. She attended schools in Winona and on November 23, 1946, she was united in marriage to Anthony Fischer. In 1968, they moved to Red Wing and purchased F & D Supply. They owned and operated it until 1991 when they sold it to their daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Todd Goodier. They also owned U-Pick Strawberries in Red Wing. Anthony died on April 29, 2011. Lois was a member of the Church of St. Joseph and the Lois Club in Red Wing. She enjoyed knitting, reading, but most of all enjoyed being surrounded by her loving family.
Lois is survived by her three children, Michael (Cavie) Fischer of Red Wing, Thomas (Dawn) Fischer of Apache Junction, Arizona and Peggy (Todd) Goodier of Red Wing; nine grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Lynn Fischer of Red Wing; sister-in-law, Betty Klopatek of Florida along with nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son Charles Fischer and one grandson, David Fischer.
Mass of Resurrection will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at the Church of St. Joseph with Father Brandon Theisen presiding. Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Memorials are preferred to the Church of St. Joseph. Arrangements are by the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
