Lois Marlene Brown, 70, of Red Wing, passed away Monday, May 13, 2024 after a long courageous battle with COPD. She was born December 7, 1953, in Red Wing, to Joseph and Mildred (Frazier) Linder. She attended the Villa Maria and graduated from Red Wing Central High School in 1972. She married Larry Nelson and they had a son, Quentin. They later divorced. Lois married John Brown in 1989 and they had a daughter, Tiffany; they later divorced. She worked at several places in Red Wing throughout the years, but prior to retiring, she was employed at Anderson Windows in Cottage Grove. Lois was a member of Church of St. Joseph. Lois had a fiery disposition and was always the life of the party. She loved unconditionally, she was a comforting person to be with and always had a smile. She loved her children and grandchildren, and family was always an important part of her life.
She is survived by her children, Quentin (Heidi) Nelson and Tiffany (Marcus) Pennington; 5 grandchildren, Sydni, Brayden, Averi, Saige and McKenzie; 4 siblings, Bernie (Virginia) Linder, Patricia Olson, Bryan (Peggy) Linder and Josephine (Dennis) Gille and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 10 siblings, Edward, Leroy, Ronald, Eugene, David, Herman and Thomas Linder and Rosella Messetler, Doris Halverson and Cleo Christianson.
Mass of the Resurrection will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at the Church of St. Joseph, with Father Brandon Theisen presiding. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Monday, May 20 at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
