Obituary Notice
Lois Jeanette Allers

Lois Jeanette Allers, age 83, of Lake City passed away Sunday, January 2 2011 at the Lake City Nursing Home. She was born on January 14, 1927 in Zumbrota to Arthur and Jeanette (Mehrkens) Zemke. She grew up in the Goodhue area until marrying Edwin Henn in 1952 at Grace Lutheran Church in rural Goodhue and then moved to Zumbro Falls. Edwin passed away in 1970. Lois married Norman Allers in 1977 at Lincoln Trinity Lutheran Church in Zumbro Falls. Lois worked various jobs while taking care of her family. Norman passed away in 2006. Lois was a member of Lincoln Trinity Lutheran Church, where she was a part of the ladies aid group and a member of the Zumbro Falls Lioness group. She enjoyed bowling, the Twins, gardening, cooking, baking, and most of all her grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons, Gordy, Dean, Greg Henn all of Zumbro Falls, and Donny (Judy) Henn of Rochester; step-children, Gary (Linda) Allers of Senecaville, OH, Sharon (John) Pearson of Pepin, WI, Kristy (Dane) Lund of Lake City; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Orville (Joanne) Zemke of Goodhue; sister-in-law Lois Zemke of Goodhue; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Edwin and Norman; an infant son, Arlan Henn; and brother, Arleigh Zemke.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Lincoln Trinity Lutheran Church with Reverend Tim Learman officiating. Burial will take place at the Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson-Peterson Chapel in Lake City and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
