Lloyd Henry Abraham

February 19, 1927 — October 10, 2013

Lloyd Henry Abraham, age 86, of Lake City, passed away Thursday, October 10, at his home in Lake City, MN. He was born February 19th, 1927 in the Lake City Hospital to Henry and Edna (Schafer) Abraham. He attended the Jacksonville School through 8th grade and worked on the family farm. He married Joan Befort July 12, 1950 at St John's Lutheran Church in Lake City, MN. They moved to town in 1965. He worked at DiAcro and the Farmer's Elevator. He also worked for a number of electricians and did carpentry work, which was his favorite hobby. Lloyd enjoyed watching the Twins and Vikings play, feeding the birds and squirrels, hunting in Montana, and dancing in Oak Center.
Lloyd is survived by his wife, Joan; three daughters, Kathy (Dale) Sanders, Faye (Thomas) Brown, and Robin (John) Laqua, all of Lake City; one grandson, Trent (Candy) Sanders; one granddaughter, Kristi Sanders; two great grandchildren Cooper and Chase Sanders, and nieces and nephews.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Edna (Schafer) Abraham; three sisters, Muriel Albrecht, Jean Tilderquist, Marion Cordes.

Memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 14, 2013 at First Lutheran Church in Lake City, with Rev. Darren Paulson officiating. Burial will in the Lakewood Cemetery.
