Lisa Andrea Nieland, 51, of Rosemount, died unexpectedly, Friday, October 23, 2009 in Marshfield, Wisconsin. She was born March 21, 1958 in Winnipeg, Canada to George and Rita (Gaspard) Richcreek. She was a 1976 graduate of Red Wing Central High School and she received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Macalester College in 1980. Lisa married Paul Nieland on December 7, 1989 at her parent's home in Vasa, Minnesota. She was passionate about antiques and sculpting and she also enjoyed gardening, cooking and her family.
She is survived by her husband, Paul of Rosemount; two sisters, Suzanne (John Loehr) Richcreek of Minneapolis and Aimee (Thomas) Baxter of St. Paul and two nieces, Helen and Marguerite.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her dogs, Java and Sally.
A graveside service for Lisa will be held on Monday, Oct. 26 at 12 p.m. at Oakwood Cemetery with Reverend Michael Dobbins officiating. A visitation will be held Sunday, Oct. 25 from 3-6 p.m. at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel. Memorials preferred to Animal Ark of Hastings or the Salvation Army.
