Linda M. Benford, 55, of Red Wing, died Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at the Red Wing Health Center. Born December 20, 1951 she was orphaned at the age of 2 and was challenged by multiple physical and cognitive impairments all of her life. She was a longtime resident of Cambridge, Minnesota and Red Wing, where she resided at REM River Bluffs. She had attended Pro Act in Zumbrota and OSS in Red Wing. In the past few years, she has been a survivor of 3 hospice stays, and has been helped greatly by Dr. Giorgi for his advocacy and care for her in her last days.
Linda is survived by her social workers and friends at the REM River Bluffs, OSS, Hi-Park and Red Wing Health Center.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 24, at Oakwood Cemetery with Reverend Eugene Hasselquist officiating. Arrangements handled by Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
