Linda Arndt

Linda Mae Arndt, 58, of rural Wanamingo, died Sunday, December 17, 2006 at St. Mary?s Hospital in Rochester. A funeral service will be held at 2 P.M. on Friday, December 22, 2006 at Christ Lutheran Church in Zumbrota with Reverend Wayne D. Schoch officiating. Interment will be St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery in Red Wing. Visitation will be held from 6-8 P.M. on Thursday, December 21, 2006 at Mahn Family Funeral Home-Larson Chapel in Zumbrota and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Linda Mae Betcher was born on May 13, 1948 in Lake City to Arthur and Adelia (Quell) Betcher. She grew up on a farm in Belvidere and graduated from Red Wing High School in 1966. Linda then relocated to Red Wing where she worked at the Goodhue County National Bank. On February 4 1978, Linda married Thomas Arndt at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Red Wing. The couple relocated to Minneola Township near Wanamingo, where they farmed. Linda was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, served on the Ladies Aid and volunteered at the public school. She enjoyed traveling with her family. Linda is survived by her husband, Thomas; son, Daniel and daughter, Rachel all of rural Wanamingo and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorials are suggested to the Lupus Foundation or Christ Lutheran Church. Arrangements are with Mahn Family Funeral Home-Larson Chapel, Zumbrota.
