Lillian C. Nibbe, 93, of Red Wing, died Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at the Fairview Red Wing Medical Center. She was born February 8, 1919 in Roscoe Township, the daughter of Olaf and Elsie (Peterson) Bjorngaard. She grew up and attended school in Zumbrota. After school she took a job as a waitress. She married Arville Jagusch in 1939, they later divorced. On August 12, 1961 she married Calvin Nibbe at the Little Brown Church in Iowa. They lived in Red Wing where Lillian worked at Durkee Atwood, Red Wing Shoe Co. and also did domestic work. She enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling, and growing flowers in her garden.
She is survived by husband Calvin of Red Wing; one son, Tom Jagusch of Red Wing; one brother, Merrill (Katie) Bjorngaard of Red Wing; three little friends, Aydyn, Camdyn, and Landyn; also survived many nieces, nephews and other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Archie and Orville.
Funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 19, 2012 at United Lutheran Church with Reverend Robert W. Iverson officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour prior to service on Monday at church. Online condolences may be sent at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com
