Lila Mary Plote, 79, of Red Wing, died Friday, January 26, 2007, at her daughter?s home in Red Wing. She was born on December 16, 1927, in Red Wing, to Luke and Anna (Westerberg) Nash. She attended schools in Red Wing and on October 4, 1952, she was married to Dean Plote in Frontenac. For 43 years she worked for Red Wing Shoe Company. She was member of St. John?s Lutheran Church and enjoyed baking, fishing and being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Dean; one daughter, Cindy (Lee) Bakke of Red Wing; two grandchildren, Katie (Mitch) Brooks of Scotland, South Dakota and Karl (Christine) Bakke of Red Wing; three great grandchildren, Jacob, Abby and Benjamin Brooks; four brothers, Larry Nash of Crystal, James (Kay) Nash, Dale (Dar) Nash and Mike (Mary) Nash all of Red Wing; three sisters, Mae Johnson, Deloris Roth and Linda (Dick) Brunkhorst all of Red Wing and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Leonard and Luke Nash and three sisters, Ardis Swisher, Gloria Townsend and Janet Nash. Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 31, 2007, at St. John?s Lutheran Church with Rev. Loren Lucht officiating. Burial will be in the Burnside Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Scott, Greg and David Nash, Jerry Roth and Brad Tri. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and at the church for one hour prior to the service. Memorials are preferred to the donor?s choice.
