Obituary: Lester L. Budensiek Funeral service for Lester L. Budensiek will be at 10:30am on Tuesday, August 15, 2006 at Saint Paul Lutheran Church in Pine Island with Reverend Kip Groettum officiating. Music will be provided by Katherine Klingsporn. Casketbearers will be his grandchildren: Jason and Laura Lodermeier, Kelly Ash, Lacey, Cody and Tye Luhman, Jacob, Zebadiah and Gunnar Schutz, Kevin and Shane Budensiek. Burial will be at a later date. Lester L. Budensiek, age 70, of Pine Island died on Friday, August 11, 2006 at St. Mary?s Hospital in Rochester. He was born Lester Lewis Budensiek on August 25, 1935 in Zumbrota, MN to Roy and Edna (Kackman) Budensiek. He attended school and graduated from Zumbrota High School. On February 20, 1960 Les married Karen Nelson in Mazeppa. He served in the Army National Guard for eight years and held various jobs around the Goodhue County area including driving feed trucks for ?Speedy? Olson, gravel trucks for Quarve Anderson and drove trucks for the rendering plant. He was a member of Saint Paul Lutheran Church, was President of the Pine Haven Resident Council and enjoyed hunting, fishing, all sports, especially the Minnesota Vikings and Twins, as well as spending time with his grandchildren. Les is survived by is wife, Karen, of Pine Island, MN; one son, Scott (Diane) Budensiek, of Zumbrota, MN; two daughters: Leslie (Luke) Luhman, of Mazeppa, MN and Jodi (Charlie) Schutz, of Oronoco, MN; eleven grandchildren: Jason and Laura Lodermeier, Kelly Ash, Lacey, Cody and Tye Luhman, Jacob, Zebadiah and Gunnar Schutz, Kevin and Shane Budensiek; three brothers: Kenneth (Vivian) Budensiek, of Goodhue, MN, William (Socorro) Budensiek, of Zumbrota, MN and Floyd (Regina) Budensiek, of Cannon Falls, MN; one sister, Marilyn (Merral) Tiedemann, of Zumbrota, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Joyce August Budensiek. Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Monday, August 14, 2006 at Mahn Family Funeral Home Mahler Chapel in Pine Island and one hour prior to service at the church on Tuesday.
