Lesley Jean Kyllo age 73 of Zumbrota died peacefully and surrounded by her family on Sunday, February 21, 2010 at her home after a courageous three year battle with cancer.
Lesley Jean Carrell was born on January 17, 1937 in Rochester to George and Evelyn (nee Dill) Carrell. She grew up in Zumbrota and attended and graduated from Zumbrota High School in 1955. Following graduation she attended Mankato State University and later returned to Zumbrota, and was employed at Mayo Clinic as a lab technician. On March 9, 1957 she married Arlen Kyllo at First Congregational Church UCC Church in Rochester. They made their home on Arlen's family farm.
Lesley served as a Deacon at First Congregational Church UCC for many years and on numerous other committees.
She enjoyed spending her time cooking, gardening, crocheting, sewing, playing piano, reading, crossword and jigsaw puzzles, attending her grandchildren events and visiting with friends.
Lesley is survived by her husband, Arlen; two sons, Kevin (Linda) Kyllo and Neal (Wendy) Kyllo, both of Zumbrota; one daughter, Corinne (Robert) Knutson of Rochester; four grandchildren, Kyla Kyllo, Steven Kyllo, Grant Kyllo, and Tori Kyllo; one brother, George Carrell of Wabasha; one sister, Nadine "Trudi" O'Connell of Apple Valley; one stepbrother Dennis Carrell of Red Wing. She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Shelley.
