Leonard Ernest "Lenny" Miller, 43, Red Wing, died at his home Tuesday. He was born October 9, 1964 in Red Wing, the son of Leonard Ried and Mary K. (Hase) Miller. He was a 1983 graduate of Red Wing Central High School. He worked as a caterer at the Brass Rail, did newspaper delivery and worked at Red Wing Shoe Company for 15 years. He was currently working at Xcel Energy as a carpenter under special construction, working with his best friend and boss, John P. Heitman. He was involved with Four Seasons Archery and helped with getting archery allowed within the Red Wing city limits. He enjoyed all hunting and fishing and was an avid outdoorsman.
Survivors include his three children: Valerie (Justin) Holt of Ellsworth, Jedidiah (fianc?e Jamie Mathews) and Zacariah (Ashley Sauka), all of Red Wing; five grandchildren: Jamie, Kallie, Laynee, Ember Lynn and Jorden; his parents of Red Wing; one brother, Nick (Gayle) Miller of Owatonna; his significant other, JoAnn Anderson of Red Wing and her sons, Ingmar and Ethan Anderson; six nieces and nephews; many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Miller; his maternal grandparents, Ernest and Vera Hase and his paternal grandparents, Leonard W. and Eleanor Miller.
There will be a visitation 2-5 p. m. Saturday at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel with remembrances at 4:30 p.m.. Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Ramboldt, Mitchell and John Hietman, Ethan Anderson and Dan Tredup.
