Leonard Joseph Bath, 82, of Red Wing, died Friday, March 31, 2017, at Mayo Clinic Health Systems, Red Wing. He was born March 28, 1935, in Winona, to Edward and Lydia (Jascola) Bath. He attended school in Winona and later moved to rural Goodhue with his family after his mother remarried James Heddlesten. On June 15, 1956, he was united in marriage to Arlene Lange and they made their home in Red Wing. He worked for over 35 years at the Red Wing Shoe Company until his retirement. He then worked as a night watchman/security for the Shoe Company and also entered into the ministry, becoming a Pioneer for almost 25 years. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses and was fondly known as "Faithful Leonard". He enjoyed going to fish fry's, spending time with his family and grandchildren and his furry, faithful companion, Monkey.
He is survived by his daughter, Beverly Fischer; daughter-in-law, Sue Bath; grandchildren, Jeremiah Bath, Ashley (Kevin) Vice, Amber (Luke) Fischer, Autumn (Jason) Fischer and Alundra (Brian) Fischer; great-grandchildren, Caden, Caitlynn, Kevin Jr., Korbin, Emilynn, Nathan, Theodore and Kalliope; brother, Hubert (Carol) Bath; sister, Barbara Sword; many nieces and nephews and his beloved cat, Monkey.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene; sons, Keith and Glenn and his father, mother and step-father and 2 brothers.
Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2017, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses with Bill Wiederholt officiating.
