Lenora Nibbe

Lenora Nibbe, age 95, of Lake City, died on Thursday December 17, 2009 at Pine Haven Care Center in Pine Island.
Lenora Anna Post was born January 17, 1914 to Charles and Emma (Heydmann) Post in Goodhue County. Lenora grew up in the Mazeppa area and attended the local country school. She married Alfred Nibbe on June 30, 1937 at the Bear Valley Lutheran Church Parsonage. The couple farmed in the Oak Center area. After 47 years of marriage, Alfred preceded Lenora in death on May 15, 1985. Lenora was a member of Lincoln Trinity Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid, and the Happy Homemakers Club. She lived for her Cousins Parties. She loved to garden and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed doing crafts.
She is survived by her daughter, Lois (David) Macken of Rochester; son Robert (Shirley) Nibbe of Lake City; five grandchildren, Scott (Cheryl) Macken, Stacy Augustine, Wade (Jenny) Nibbe, Wes (Jessica) Nibbe, and Chad (Drina) Nibbe; 15 great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alfred; and her two brothers, Clarence and Elmer.
The funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 AM on Monday December 21, 2009 at Lincoln Trinity Lutheran Church. The Reverend Tim Learman will be officiating. The visitation will be from 2:00 until 4:00 PM on Sunday December 20 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home - Anderson-Peterson Chapel in Lake City and also one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery following the service.
The casketbearers will be Keller Augustine, Scott Macken, Chad Nibbe, Colton NIbbe, Wade Nibbe, and Wes Nibbe.
