Lellia Luella Farnham

Funeral services for Lellia Farnham will be held Wednesday August 31st at 11:00 AM at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Rochester Chapel. The Reverend Nancy Wheeler Handlon will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Rochester. Mrs. Farnham, 104, of Pine Island, died Saturday August 27, 2016 at Pine Haven Care Center in Pine Island, where she had resided the past few years.
Lellia Luella Koenig was born November 26, 1911 in Farmington Township, Olmsted County to Emil and Mary (Muller) Koenig. Raised on the family farm, in her youth she attended country schools. She married George Farnham on October 10, 1931 in Rochester. The couple farmed on the Farnham farm until retiring in 1974. They sold the farm but kept the homestead, where she lived until her son built a home nearby. It was there she remained until her move to Pine Haven Care Center.
Lellia was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Rochester, the Rebekah Lodge, and the Royal Neighbors. She enjoyed gardening and her flower beds.
She is survived by her son Neil (Barbara) Farnham of Rochester; grandchildren, Duane (Julie) Farnham of Oronoco, Susan (Robert) Koponen of Columbia Heights, Mark (Pam) Zollinger of Rochester, and Michael (Becky) Zollinger of New Orleans, Louisiana; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1981; a daughter Mary Zollinger; a brother, and two sisters.
The visitation for Lellia Farnham will be Tuesday August 30th from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Rochester Chapel, and will continue one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Wednesday. Online tributes are being welcomed, and may be written at this website.
