LaVerna C. Tri

LaVerna C. Tri age 83 of Zumbrota died on Tuesday morning, March 9, 2010 at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester surrounded by her loving family. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Mazeppa with Father Robert G. Meyer and Father Joe Keefe officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, March 12, 2010 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at the Mahn Family Funeral Home - Larson Chapel in Zumbrota and on Saturday one hour prior to the mass at the church.
LaVerna Catherine Hart was born on July 21, 1926 in Bellechester to Anthony and Pearl (nee Arendt) Hart. She attended St. Mary's School in Bellechester. LaVerna met and married Robert J. Tri on August 18, 1948 in Lake City. In addition to farming in Zumbrota Township for many years LaVerna also enjoyed gardening, embroidery and working with "The Gang" in the kitchen at Covered Bridge Restaurant in Zumbrota.
LaVerna is survived by her husband of sixty one years, Robert Tri Sr.; five children, Robert (Peggy) Tri Jr. and Rick (Nancy) Tri, both of Zumbrota, Daniel (Charlotte) Tri of Woodbury, Lori (Brian) Hill of Zumbrota and Kevin Tri of Pine Island; twelve grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Eleanor Blattner of Eau Claire, WI, and Irene Tri of Pine Island and one brother, Martin (Rose) Hart of Lake City. LaVerna was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Pearl and one son, James. Memorials are preferred to Alzheimer's Research.
