Laura Larson
Laura Rosetta Larson, 87, of Red Wing, died Monday, November 12, 2007 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. She was born April 12, 1920 in Zumbro Falls to George and Martha (Steichen) Dosdall and attended school at the Alleho School in Trimbelle, Wisconsin. She also attended an art school for a year, until returning home to care for the family farm with her brothers. She married Willis J. Larson on December 12, 1942 at Ft. Ord, California. She worked at Red Wing Pottery as a painter and had been the lead painter. She also worked for Josten's until retiring as a press operator in 1982. She also cared for her husband Willis until his death in 1995. She was a member of Svea Lutheran Church, Good Sam Camping Club and the Josten's Loafers. She enjoyed crocheting and embroidery work and gardening.
She is survived by 3 children, Dan (Pat) Larson of Rochester, Lorna Reincke of Zumbrota and Larry (Betty) Larson of Red Wing; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband and three brothers, Earl, Ernest and Albert Dosdall.
Funeral service will be 10am Thursday at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel with Reverend Ann McArdell officiating. Burial will be at the Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. Memorials are preferred to Svea Lutheran Church.
