Larry A. Trelstad

February 27, 1944 — October 2, 2010

Larry A. Trelstad, age 66, of Wanamingo died on Saturday October 2, 2010 at the Kenyon Sunset Home.
A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 PM on Friday, October 8, 2010 at Stordahl Lutheran Church in Zumbrota with the Reverend Kathleen Lowry officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 PM on Thursday October 7 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home - Larson Chapel in Zumbrota and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Larry Arnold Trelstad was born on February 27, 1944 in Zumbrota to Arnold and Lillian (Ellefson) Trelstad. He attended country school in the Zumbrota area. Larry farmed with his parents on the family farm. He married Dorothy Webster on July 12, 1963 at the United Methodist Church in Pine Island. The couple later divorced in 1986. Larry began working at Cannon Equipment in 1989. In 1996 Larry moved to Wanamingo. In 2002 he had to leave Cannon Equipment due to health issues.
Larry enjoyed woodworking and traveling to rummage sales in the area, until his health no longer allowed him to do so. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Larry had been a lifelong member of Stordahl Lutheran Church.
Larry is survived by his children, Tom (Angie) Trelstad of Wanamingo, and Kathy (Jay) Lutz of Rochester; five grandchildren, Alex and Bethany Trelstad, and Sara, Susan, and Nathan Lutz; his brother, Arlin (Marilyn) Trelstad of Orr, MN; his uncle, Vernon (Eileen) Trelstad of Pine Island; two aunts, Mabel Trelstad of Wanamingo and Anola Ellefson of Rochester; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
