Larry William Eckhoff, 79, of Hager City, Wis., died Thursday, December 25, 2014 at the Comforts of Home in River Falls. He was born on March 12, 1935 in Trenton Township, Pierce County, Wisconsin to Lawrence and Mary Eckhoff. He farmed, working at various places in the area. He was a member of Laurel Presbyterian Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with friends.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly; five children, Dorothy (Perry) Forbord of Stacy, Minn., Roger (Kimberly) Eckhoff of Hager City, Wis., Betty Eckhoff of Burnsville, Minn., Robert Eckhoff of Hager City, Wis., and Vicki (Thomas) McGuire of Cannon Falls, Minn.; 10 grandchildren, Ryan (Sam) Cardell, Sarah Adler, Matthew Lantz, Jordan Forbord, Shawnna Lantz, Andrea Forbord, Jesse Lantz, Catelynn Eckhoff, Tyler McGuire and Allison McGuire; one great grandchild, Tyler McGrath and many nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Lester.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Laurel Presbyterian Church in Hager City with Rev. Amy Kosari officiating. Private family burial will be in the Trenton Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Funeral arrangements are by the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn chapel.
