Larry L. Corbin

Larry L. Corbin, 60, of Rochester, died unexpectedly Tuesday, December 11, 2007 in Morris, Minnesota. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Monday, December 17, 2007 at the Autumn Ridge Church-Timothy Chapel with the Pastor Andy Kumpel officiating. Interment will be in the Jeffers Cemetery in Jeffers, Minnesota. Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM on Sunday, December 16, 2007 at Mahn Family Funeral Home-Rochester Chapel and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
Larry Lee Corbin was born March 28, 1947 to Clifford and Avis (Murphy) Corbin. He grew up in Jeffers, Minnesota and graduated from Jeffers High School in 1965. Larry attended Mankato State University and graduated with a Business Degree in 1969. On April 11, 1970 Larry married Joanne Schmidt at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Windom, Minnesota. The couple lived in the Twin Cities area before relocating to Rochester in 1974. Larry devoted over 20 years working and helping to grow Weis Builders ending his time there as president before deciding to found Corbin Construction Services. He loved spending time with his children and enjoyed hunting, fishing, sports, coaching, spending time at the lake and renovating homes. Larry was an active volunteer in the community and served as the inaugural president of the Century High School Booster Club.
Larry is survived by his wife, Joanne; two sons, Christopher and Adam Corbin both of Rochester; one daughter, Kelly Lee Corbin of Rochester; a brother, Allen (Lavonne) Corbin of Glencoe, Alabama; two sisters, Karen (Tom) Connell of West Point, Nebraska and Faye (Harry) Duckson of White Bear Lake, Minnesota; numerous brothers and sisters-in-law and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Avis Corbin.
Arrangements are with Mahn Family Funeral Home-Rochester Chapel.
