Larrey Warren Whiting

Larrey Warren Whiting, 71, of Ellsworth, died Sunday, July 26, 2020 after over two years battling cancer. He was born on December 11, 1948, in Rochester to Stanley and Betty (Brumm) Whiting. He graduated from Mayo High School in 1967 and then attended trade school for carpentry in Austin, Minnesota. He worked many years for Dale's Gun Shop in Rochester, Island Campground in Hager City, Pierce County Highway Department and Knudsen Trucking. During his full time work he was self-employed as a handyman, fixing or restoring most anything. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing and caring and raising many different animals.

Larrey is survived by one daughter, Shawn Whiting of Stewartville; three grandchildren, Jacob (Elizabeth) Whiting of Riverside, RI, Summer Jolie Beasley and Lance Beasley both of Saraland, AL; three great grandchildren, Karlee, Liam and Kayla Whiting all of Riverside, RI; special friend, Donna Barr of Ellsworth; three brothers, Kenneth (Diane) Whiting, S. James Whiting and Danney (Martie) Whiting all of Rochester; many nieces and nephews and special friends, Tim and Sheila Fischer and Denny Henn all of Ellsworth. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A private memorial service will be held at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
