Kimberly Ann York, 51, of Lake City, died unexpectedly on Monday, Oct. 19, 2015, at the Mayo Clinic Health System in Lake City. She was born March 14, 1964, in Toppenish, Washington to Ernest and Patricia (Thompson) Baker. She grew up in Zillah, Washington, graduating from high school there in 1982. She went on to attend nursing school in Jefferson, Ohio where she received her nursing degree. Kim was united in marriage to Lloyd York on Sept. 18, 1987, in Geneva, Ohio. She worked as a nurse at a health care facility in Geneva. In July of 1993 they moved to Lake City where she worked as a nurse in Lake City and Rochester until she retired in 2010. Kim then worked as a bookkeeper for their business, Napa Auto Supply in Lake City.
She is survived by her husband, Lloyd of Lake City; son, Daryn (Lacey) York of Lake City; grandson, Atticus; brother, Scott (June) Baker of Durand, Wisc.; sister, Teri (Josh) Baker of Lake City; niece Kylie and nephew, Gavin. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 26, at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson-Peterson Chapel with Pastor David Corlew officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 25 and for one hour prior to the service. Memorials are preferred to the Ronald McDonald House.
