Kenton J. Heins age 57 of Richfield, MN passed away April 8, 2008 in Lake City.
Kent was born February 20, 1951 in Red Wing, MN to Allan & Adeline "Lynn" (Taylor) Heins. He grew up in Lake City and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1969. He attended college and graduated from the Molner School for Barbers. He worked at Edina West Barbers in Edina, MN for many years. Kent married Gail Teigen September 11, 1976. They later divorced. Kent lived in Richfield until just recently moving to Lake City where he worked at Lakeside Barbers. He was very involved in the Richfield Girls Softball Association. He enjoyed golfing and many other sports. He was a member of the Bloomington Lutheran Church in Bloomington, MN.
Kent is survived by a daughter, Dana Heins of Richfield, MN, parents Allan & Adeline "Lynn" Heins of Lake City; two sisters Yvonne (Dennis) Ostrom of Torrance, CA, Anita (Craig) Cronin of Red Wing, nieces and nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by a brother Richard A. Heins.
Funeral Services will be Monday at 11:00 am at Bloomington Lutheran Church with the Rev. Scott Spaulding officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery in Lake City. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 5 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home Anderson-Peterson Chapel in Lake City. Friends may call one hour before the service at the church.
