Kenneth Raymond Meyers

Kenneth Raymond Meyers, 86, of Pine Island, Minnesota, passed away on July 11, 2024. Ken was born on May 12, 1938, in Oronoco Township, to Chester and IvaLene (Streiff) Meyers. He was a lifelong resident of Minnesota and a cherished member of his community.

Ken dedicated three active years and three reserve years to the United States Marine Corp, demonstrating his commitment and patriotism. Ken worked as a carpenter as a proud member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners Local 1382 for over 50 years.

Beyond his professional and military service, Ken was a caring husband, father, and brother. He was extremely proud of his family and their accomplishments, always providing support and love. His hobbies included hunting and fishing; activities that not only brought him joy but also peace.

Ken is survived by his loving wife, Sharon (Henriksen) Meyers; daughters, Rochelle (John) Sturtevant, Kimberly (Thomas) Haze, and Lynda (Robert) Meyers; son, Michael (Wiwien) Meyers; grandchildren Bradley (Katrina) and Brandon Haze, Jillian, Rhiannon, Joshua Sturtevant; sisters, Violet Grendahl, Darlene Mulvihill, and Helen Thorpe; and brothers, Maurice (Nancy) and Dennis (Marsha). His passing marks a significant loss to his family and all who knew him.

The memorial service to honor Ken's life will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 15, 2024, at Mahn Family Funeral Home-Mahler Chapel, in Pine Island. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home. Interment will be at Oronoco Cemetery.
