OBITUARY: Kenneth L. Johnson Funeral service for Kenneth L. Johnson will be at 2pm on Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at Lands Lutheran Church, Zumbrota with Reverend Paul Reppe officiating. Honorary casketbearer will be Brad Johnson. Active casketbearers will be Sean Johnson, Raymond Goranson, Alex Dominguez, Kevin Strain, Kyle Strain and David Fransen. Burial will follow in Lands Lutheran Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to donor?s choice. Kenneth LeRoy Johnson, age 87, of Columbia Hts., MN, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2007 in Mpls. He was born on May 17, 1919 in Leon Twnshp., Goodhue Co., MN to Ludvig and Clara (Gjemse) Johnson. He attended country school and entered into the U. S. Army serving in World War II, from 1941 ? 1945. Following his honorable discharge, he returned to Zumbrota and on Jan. 24, 1947 was married to Geraldine Reamer, in Mason City, IA. The couple farmed in Goodhue Co., near Cannon Falls and Kenny did carpentry work around the area including over 20 years for Zumco, in Zumbrota. He was confirmed in Aspelund Lutheran Church and was a member of Lands Lutheran Church. Kenny enjoyed carpentry, ceramics, gardening, vacationing, fishing and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 yrs., Geraldine, of Columbia Hts., MN; two sons: Gary (Nancy), of Hills City, MN and Ricky (Barb), of Zumbrota, MN; one daughter, Judy Hamm, of Fridley, MN; six grandchildren: Sean, Bradley (Cindy), Adin, Alissa, Mark and Holly; two brothers: Roger (Jean) Johnson, Lowell (Peggy) Johnson; five sisters: Delores Hallenger, Evelyn (Lloyd) Banitt, Gale (Duane) Strain, LaVonne (Terry) Carlson, Diane Schroeder; many nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Kenny was preceded in death by his parents: Ludvig and Clara; two brothers: Gary and Maurice; four sisters: Eileen Lundstrom, Lorraine Ertz, Phyllis Vold, Marlys Fransen. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church on Wednesday.
