Kenneth E. Juers

Kenneth E. Juers age 74 of Lake City died Friday, December 7, 2007 at the Lake City Hospital.

Kenneth was born September 20, 1933 in Mount Pleasant Township in Wabasha County to Emanuel & Meta (Boettcher) Juers. Kenneth attended rural school in Wabasha County and he graduated from Lincoln High School in Lake City. He joined the Army and was discharged in 1962. He married Edna Borgschatz September 30, 1956 at Christ Lutheran Church in Zumbrota. The lived and farmed in Mount Pleasant Township. Edna died January 18, 1997. Kenneth later married Florence (Duden) Plank August 2, 2003 at Lincoln Trinity Lutheran Church, rural Zumbro Falls. They moved to Zumbro Falls in 2004. Kenneth was a member of Lincoln Trinity Lutheran Church, Zumbro Falls Lions Club and the Elder Network.

He is survived by his wife, one son, Peter (Annette) of Zumbro Falls,; one daughter Jody Slininger of Wanamingo; five grandchildren; one great grandson; three step-children Sonny (Sandee) Plank of Frontenac, Larry (Diane) Plank of Mazeppa, Sheral Schleck of Kenyon, eight step-grandchildren and 11 step-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Edna; son Kenneth Jr, daughter Christine Juers, and two brothers, Merle and Lowell.

Funeral Services will be held Monday at 1:00 pm at Lincoln Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Christian Christianson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 5 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home Anderson-Peterson Chapel Lake City. Friends may also call one hour before the service at the church.
