Kenneth M. Jenkins

Kenneth M. Jenkins, 72, of Bay City, died Sunday, August 31, 2008 at his home. He was born December 9, 1935 in Manly, Iowa to Kin and Gertrude Jenkins. He attended school in Manly and moved to Clear Lake, Iowa where he began working as a heavy equipment operator. He married Sharon Brand on October 31, 1975 at the Methodist Church in Albert Lea and they moved to Lindstrom, Minnesota where he operated the Dairy Queen until retiring in 1986. They moved to Bay City, Wisconsin in 1996â€â₝where he said it was his birthday everyday! His three greatest loves were his family, fishing and bingo.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon of Bay City; 2 sons, Rick (Kathy) Jenkins of Tomah, WI and Tim (Michaelee) Jenkins of Glencoe, MN; 3 daughters, Laura (David) Wineinger of Cumberland, WI, Carol (Joe) Townsend of Bay City and Vickie (Mike) Nielsen of Lake Geneva, WI; 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Donna Fredrickson of Manley, IA and Deloras Fredrickson of Northwood, IA and a brother Dick (Nancy) Jenkins of Eldridge, IA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Marion Brunsvold; 2 brothers, Wallace and Delmer; a son Ken Ray and a grandson Matthew Jenkins.

Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel with visitation will be for one hour prior to the service.
