Kenneth Burdick

Kenneth A. Burdick age 55 of Wanamingo died suddenly on Monday, September 11, 2006 at his residence in Wanamingo. A memorial service is scheduled for Friday, September 15, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at the Mahn Family Funeral Home ? Larson Chapel in Zumbrota with Reverend Paul Reppe officiating. Kenneth Ace Burdick was born on February 8, 1951 in Northfield, MN to William and Dolly (nee Sims) Burdick. He spent his early years in the Kenyon area. As a youth his family moved to a farm in rural Wanamingo. Kenneth attended Wanamingo Schools and graduated from Wanamingo High School in 1969. He attended Austin Area Vo-Tech in the auto mechanics program. Kenneth started working for Cenex in Wanamingo, driving propane truck and repairing furnaces. On August 26, 1978 he married Vicki Perrett in rural Zumbrota. They made their home in the Wanamingo area. In 1999 Kenneth started Burdick Heating which he continued to operate until his death. Kenneth enjoyed restoring old tractors, tinkering in his garage and working on old heaters. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Vicki, one son, Andrew Burdick of Wanamingo, one daughter, Erin Burdick of Rochester, his mother, Dolly Burdick of Kenyon, one brother, Curt (Darlene) Burdick of Cannon Falls, nieces and nephews, mother and father in law, Frank and Hazel Perrett of Wanamingo. Kenneth was preceded in death by his father, William.
