Keith R. Spriggle

Keith Richard Spriggle, 56, of Bay City, died suddenly, Saturday, January 19, 2008 at his home. He was born August 21, 1951 in Red Wing to Lloyd and Dorothy (Vernstrom) Spriggle and he attended school in Ellsworth. He entered the US Navy on September 21, 1970 and served during the Vietnam War, being honorably discharged in 1974. He married Lila McCrae on August 28, 1971 at Hartland Methodist Church in Bay City; they later divorced. He worked for DeLavel in River Falls before working for NSP, where he retired from. He married Sue Sebion in 1998 and they later divorced. On July 29, 2006 he married Barb Engh in Maiden Rock. Keith was an avid hunter and fisherman and was also interested in guns, gardening, canning, smoking and preserving meat, boating, watching the Packers, and spending time with his friends.

He is survived by his wife, Barb of Bay City; 3 children, Amber (Bruce) Campbell of Red Wing, Phaedra (Robbie) Raethke of Ellsworth and Shawn Spriggle of Chesapeake, Virginia; 2 step-daughters, Michelle (Jerry Enevold) Engh of Bay City and Amy (Chad) Olson of Ellsworth; 10 grandchildren, Tori (Matt) Johnson, Tasha, Helena, Bruce and Laurel Campbell, Isaiah, Desiree and Jennissa Raethke, Ayana Spriggle and Sheldon Olson; 1 great-grandchild, Jayme Johnson; 1 sister, Sandra (David) Neuendorf of Lomira, WI; 2 sister-in-laws, Linda Sarnstrom of Hager City and Irene Kilness of Ellsworth; his trusted companion, Bailey--his yellow lab; special friend, Bucky Stewart of Bay City and several other close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Bay City Methodist Church with Reverend John Hazen officiating. Burial will be at Bay City Cemetery with military honors. Honorary pallbearers will be Bucky Stewart, John Kuesel, Al Hoyer, Mike Celt, Jeff Jung and Roger Erickson. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
