Keith Clifford Mattson, 61, of Brooklyn, N.Y. formerly of Red Wing, died Tuesday, April 2nd, 2013 of cardiac complications.
He was born September 13, 1951, in Red Wing, Minnesota to Clifford and Jeanette Mattson. He graduated from Red Wing Central High School in 1970 and then attended college at the University of Minnesota.
He lived in Minneapolis and worked in various restaurant and retail businesses. He moved to Brooklyn New York in the mid 1980's and was a security officer in a Manhattan apartment complex.
In his spare time, Keith enjoyed world travel, theater, cultural arts, reading and spending time with family.
Keith is survived by his father, Clifford Mattson; brother Glenn Mattson of Red Wing, two sisters, Yvonne (Jim) Black of Red Wing and Janine (Steve) Kokal of Rochester; 4 nieces, 3 nephews, 3 great nephews and 1 great niece. He was preceded in death by his mother Jeanette Mattson.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, April 20 at ll:00 a.m. at the United Lutheran Church in Red Wing. There will be a visitation one hour before the service.
Memorials are preferred to the American Heart Association.
