Kay Koster � Pisney age 69 of Lake City passed away April 4, 2009 at the Lake City Nursing Home.
Kay was born February 9, 1940 to LaVerne & Ruth (Boles) Koster. She grew up in Chester, IA were she graduated from Chester High School in 1958. Kay married Jerry Pisney June 27, 1959 in Chester. After they where married they lived in Rochester until 2004 then they retired and moved to Lake City. She worked as the activities director at Whippoorwill Camp Ground for many years and she owned and operated Pepperoni Pete's Restaurant in Grand Meadow. She enjoyed home interior decorating and playing the piano.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry of Lake City, two daughters, Kim (Mark) Petrich of Prior Lake, MN, Mary Beth (Patrick) Ripley of Chaska, MN; six grandchildren; her mother, Ruth Fertig of the Lake City Nursing Home; a brother, Larry Koster of Chester, IA; two step brothers, Lonnie (Sherry) Koster of Chanhassen, MN, John (Pam) Koster of Rochester; three half brothers, Leslie Ray (Jeanette) Fertig of Odeboldt, IA, Ronald (Barb) Koster of Stewartville, MN, Mark (Starla) Koster of Bethune, CO; two half sisters, Vicky (Randy) McCloud of LeRoy, MN, Teresa Huntley of Chester, IA. She was preceded in death by her father, LaVerne Koster, step mother Ilona Koster; step father Leslie Fertig; a brother Vernon "Pete" Koster, and a half brother Donald Koster.
A Memorial service will be held Friday, April 10, 2009 at 1:00 PM, at the Mahn Family Funeral Home Anderson-Peterson Chapel Lake City. Friends may call one hour before the services at the funeral home.
