Kathryn Joan Stolzenberg, 63, of Lake City, died peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, November 9th at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester.
Kathy was born November 29th, 1949 in Austin, MN to LeVerne and Beryl (Johnson) Madson. She married Thomas Stolzenberg in Austin, MN at St. Augusta Catholic Church on March 15th, 1969. After the wedding they made their home in Stacyville, IA until Tom took a job which moved them to Lake City, MN. Kathy held multiple jobs over the course of her life, most of which were in the medical field. Her last job was working for Ryan Repair in Lake City, a job she held for 13 years and one that she truly loved. She enjoyed reading, camping and playing on the computer, but her favorite pastime was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Kathy is survived by husband Tom; three sons, Brett (Christina) of Sauk Rapids, MN, Neil (Kristie) of Lake City, MN, and Adam (Kati) of St. Louis, MO. She is also survived by her seven beloved grandchildren, Jacob, Samuel, Zachary, Sydnee, Lauryn, Will, and Maggie; mother Beryl, of Austin, MN; brothers Lloyd (Laurel) Madson of Austin, MN and Alan Madson of St Petersburg, FL; and sisters, Sandy (Sam) Heard of Austin, MN and Laurie Rosas of Clearwater, MN. She was preceded in death by her father, LeVerne.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 15th at 1:00 PM at First Lutheran Church in Lake City with Pastor Darren Paulson officiating. Friends and family may call on Thursday, November 14th from 4 - 8PM at The Mahn Family Funeral Home Anderson-Peterson Chapel Lake City. Friends may also call one hour before the service at the church. Interment will take place at Grandview Cemetery in Austin, MN at a later date.
