Kathryn M. (Sorenson) Erickson

Kathryn Marie Erickson, 63, of Red Wing, died Monday, February 7, 2022, at her home, after a lengthy illness. She was born October 25, 1957, in Seattle, Washington, to Paul and Evelyn (Wahl) Sorenson and grew up and attended school in the Seattle area.  On October 27, 1979, she was united in marriage to David Erickson.  They moved to Minnesota and she began working at Treasure Island Casino in 1986, where she worked for 21 years.  She worked all the time, and she loved it.  When Kathryn was at home, she enjoyed watching her shows, especially Little House on the Prairie and The Walton’s.

She is survived by her husband, David; 2 daughters, Tanya (Jesse) Hernandez and Jean (Rob) Erickson; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and siblings, Paul (Denise) Sorenson, her twin, Kenneth (Michelle) Sorenson, Kristi Tolson and Janet Greb.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

A celebration of Kathryn’s life will be held later this spring.  Funeral arrangements handled by Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
