Kathleen Cora Patton

A memorial service for Kathleen Patton will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday April 6th at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Rochester. The Reverend Dr. James Heining will officiate. Inurnment will follow at the Spring Valley Cemetery. Ms. Patton, 69, of Rochester, died Wednesday March 30, 2011 at her home in Rochester.
Kathleen Cora Patton was born March 13, 1942 in Windom, Minnesota, the daughter of Ernie and Ethel Patton. Raised on a farm south of Spring Valley, she was a graduate of the public schools there. Moving to Rochester, she worked for the public schools here for 34 years. She had a special place in her heart for her great nieces and her great nephew. She enjoyed travelling, including 2 trips to Hawaii. Other hobbies included photography and gardening. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.
Kathleen is survived by her sister, Patricia Riess of Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota; nephews, Christopher (Anne) Riess, also of Inver Grove Heights, Jason Riess of Eagan, Minnesota; a niece, Michele (Ken) Alwin of Apple Valley, Minnesota; 3 great nieces, and a great nephew; and a former brother-in-law, Duane Riess of Rochester. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister in infancy.
Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
