Kathleen Marie Jacobson

Kathleen Marie Jacobson, 68, of Red Wing, died Saturday, November 16, 2019, at St Marys Hospital in Rochester. She was born on December 22, 1950, in Lake City, Minnesota to Dallas and Marian (Siewert) Watson. She graduated from Red Wing Central High School in 1968. On August 14, 1971, she was united in marriage to Richard "Jake" Jacobson. For 40 years she worked for the Department of Agriculture and she and Jake lived on the family farm in Featherstone Township. She was an active member of Vasa Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday school and was a past 4-H leader of the Featherstone Boosters. She enjoyed gardening, selling Longaberger baskets and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a very passionate, caring and selfless person.
Kathleen is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Jake; two children, Sara (Johnie) Parker of Red Wing and Scott (Shelly) Jacobson of Red Wing; four grandchildren, Dallas, Connor and Laurel Jacobson and Atlas Jacobson; her mother and step father, Marian and Don Nelson of Red Wing; two brothers, Gene Watson of Red Wing and Dale Watson of Minneapolis; one sister, Gloria Watson of Salt Lake City, Utah; several nieces and nephew along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Dallas in 1976 and one son, Brian in 2010.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, November 22, 2019, at the Vasa Lutheran Church with Rev. Maureen Hagen officiating. Burial will be at the Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Vasa Lutheran Center on Thursday, November 21, 2019 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and at the church for one hour prior to the service. Memorials are preferred to the Vasa Lutheran Church, American Cancer Society or donor's choice.
