Karen Kay Peterson, 66, of Red Wing, died Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at her home. She was born on December 9, 1945 in Oak Lawn, Illinois to Wallace and June (Allen) Hotlen. In 1965 she married Richard Lance and they later divorced. She then married Patrick Peterson in 1978.
Karen is survived by her husband, Patrick; sons, Michael (Cindy) Lance of California, John (Kristine) Lance of Red Wing, Brian Lance of Illinois and Chad (Jessica) Lance of Goodhue and daughter, Amie Peterson of Red Wing; 13 grandchildren and her siblings, Patricia Dale-Ramos, Peggy Lemke, Mike (Karen) Hotlen, Wesley Hotlen, Kathy (Jim) Zwiener, Kellie Stevens and Kari (Mike) Mollick. She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings, Marilynn Stitz, Joni Hotlen and Keith Hotlen.
A visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Online condolences may be sent to www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com
