Karen Ann Lunde, 74, of Red Wing, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2015, at the Red Wing Healthcare Community. She was born April 13, 1941, in Red Wing, to Merle and Alice (Bargrain) Youmans and graduated from Red Wing Central High School in 1960. She went on to attend beauty school in the Twin Cities, receiving her beautician's license. In 1962, she met her would-be husband at the roller rink in Wanamingo, and on March 22, 1963, she was united in marriage to Charles Lunde at their minister's parsonage. They made their home in Red Wing and raised three sons. She owned and operated Karen's Beauty Nook out of her home for many years. She enjoyed going on camping trips in their fold-down camper with her grandmother, someone she was very close too, as well as her brother, Kenny. Karen loved antiques and antiquing, but most of all, she loved being a mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her loving husband, Charles Lunde of Red Wing; 3 sons, Jay (Beth) Lunde of Red Wing, Jad (Ann) Lunde of Bay City and Joel Lunde of Eden Prairie; 4 grandchildren, Jericka, Justin, McKenna and Bryce and nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Kenny Youmans and grandmother, Anna Bargrain.
