K. Isabelle Davis

K. Isabelle "Issy" Davis, 94, Red Wing, died peacefully Monday, December 30, 2013, at St. Brigid's at Hi-Park. She was born May 6, 1919 in Thurston, Nebraska, the daughter of Horace and Josephine (Lewin) Walters. She graduated from High School in Thurston and attended Edward's Business College in Sioux City, IA. She married Eugene Davis on May 6, 1941 in Beldon, NE and they celebrated 60 years of marriage. They lived in Sioux City until moving to Luverne, MN in 1964, then to Red Wing in 1972 where she worked at Pamida. In 1986 they moved to Nevis, MN and wintered in Tarpon Springs, FL. Eugene died July 23, 2001. She moved back to Red Wing in 2005 She was a member of the Methodist Church in Luverne where she taught Sunday school. She loved crocheting and many craft projects. Most recently she enjoyed bingo on Sundays, Eucher and other card games with her friends at Jordan Towers, reading on her kindle and spending time with her family. Her family was her pride and joy and her witty sense of humor will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include: two children, Kay (Mike) Hageness of Altoona, WI and Dennis Davis of Eau Claire, WI; ten grandchildren: Rick (Sunny), Mike (Jenny), Tracey (Kelly), Chris (Lindsay), and Scott (Maggon) Lamoreux; Kim Everett, Heather (Tim) Kohrs, Wendie (Scott) Christianson, and Courtney and Justin Davis; nineteen great-grandchildren: Brandon, Ryan, Alex, Alana, Logann, Lyndsey, Mitchell, Nathan, Kara, Abigail, Devin, Landin, Layne, Caden, Macy, Ryley, Aubrey, Lola and Jackson; three great-great-grandchildren and one due in May; sister, Margie Hanson of Mission Viejo, CA; son-in-law, Terry (Karen Apfelbeck) Lamoreux of Colby, WI; two sisters-in-law, Beverly Riordan of Pierson, IA and Dorothy Walters of Sioux City, IA; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eugene; her daughter, Karen Lamoreux, two brothers, Russell and Danny and one sister, Evelyn Henshaw.

Funeral will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel with Pastor Dale Kohrs officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
