Julie Kay Schahczinski

Julie Kay Schahczinski, 57, of Red Wing, died unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, June 18, 2013. She was born on April 8, 1956 in Menominee, Michigan to Ottar and Kathleen (Callow) Olson. On January 8, 1977 she married John Schahczinski. In 1998 they moved to Red Wing. She enjoyed spending time with her family and visiting with neighborhood friends.

Survivors include her husband, John; one son Jared (Miranda) Schahczinski of Red Wing; one granddaughter, Lexis Schahczinski; one sister, Karen McCord of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin and two brothers, Jim (Jean) Olson of Panama City, Florida and Chris (Laura) Olson of Okemus, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, July 19, 2013 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel. Memorials are preferred to the Goodhue County Humane Society. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com
