Julie Ann Foster, 63, of Red Wing, died Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her family. She was born Dec. 27, 1947 in Red Wing to Homer and Edna (Graetz) Foster. She attended Red Wing Central High School and later married Robert Guenther on May 13, 1967. They later divorced in 1987. She worked for the Red Wing School District for 15 years as a custodian, starting in 1988 until 2003. She then worked in housekeeping at Fairview Red Wing Medical Center from 2004, until her retirement in 2009. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, watching the news, keeping up on current events, and spending time with her dogs.
She is survived by her children; Tamie Guenther, Angie (Joey) Taylor, and Jason Guenther all of Red Wing; grandchildren, Justin and Danielle Lance, Taylee, Trayce, and Teyha Taylor. She was preceded in death by her parents and an Aunt, Stella Hunt.
Memorial Service will be 12 p.m., Friday, November 25, 2011, at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel with Reverend Lynne Rigg officiating. Visitation will be for two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Wacouta Cemetery.
