Judy Arlene Stucky

Judy A. Stucky, 72, died unexpectedly in her home on November 29, 2021.  She was born September 19, 1949.

Originally from St. Paul, MN, Judy relocated to Pine Island, MN where she met and married Dan Stucky in 1970.  This would become her lifelong home where she would meet and enjoy many friends and raise her family.

She had a fierce love for her family and cherished every friend she had.  A special angel on earth, now flying high with our heavenly father and the many friends and family taken before her.  She would do anything to help another out.  She loved both people and animals.  Judy had a gentle smile and kind wisdom.  She prided herself in raising strong and independent children, loved traveling with her husband, had a quick wit, and a knack for creating hilarious inside jokes that will last lifetimes.

Judy enjoyed her years working for the Pine Cheese Mart and Patterson Lund Law Office but her proudest work was at the Pine Island High School where she felt she was able to help many of her students also develop into strong independent achievers.

She will always be remembered for her ability to pack "everything we need for a camping trip" into a small space, her fierce love for her family and puppies, her love for fun in the sun, books, friends, and expert advice such as "eat dessert first, that way you always know you'll have room!".

Judy is preceded in death by her parents and survived by her husband Dan of 51 years, three children: Sharon (Levi Floren) Stucky of Byron, Nicki (Todd) Distad of Hoffman, MN, and Craig (Hannah) Stucky of Ocala, FL.  Four Grandchildren: Max Hale, Dani Hale, Lainey Floren and Alexander Stucky. Two siblings and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at the Pine Island American Legion on Sunday Dec 5, 2021 from 1pm-4pm.
