Judy Kay Ryan

Judith Kay Ryan, 60, of Red Wing, died Saturday, October 19, 2013, at St. Brigid's at Hi-Park. She was born on October 15, 1953, to Edwin and Marian (Eggenberger) Heitman in Red Wing. She graduated from Red Wing Central High School with the class of 1971. Judy was married to Jim Ryan on December 4, 1971,and they resided in Red Wing. She worked at Durkee Atwood/Pirelli and later began working at 3M in Cottage Grove in 2000. She and Jim moved to Pine City in 2006. Jim died on August 2, 2012 and Judy moved back to Red Wing. Judy enjoyed spending time with friends and family--especially her grandkids, boating, shopping, gardening, and her work.
She is survived by her two sons, Jesse (Nicole) Ryan of Red Wing, and Jay (Summer) of Red Wing; four grandchildren, Cody, Parker, Peyton, and another on the way; four siblings, Evelyn Wyler of CA, Colvill (Karen) Heitman of CA, Rodney Heitman of St. Paul, and Roger (Sara) Heitman of Red Wing. She was preceded in death by her husband Jim; her parents; and her brother, Willie Heitman.

Memorial service will be 6 p.m., Wednesday, October 23 at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel with Reverend Eugene Hasselquist officiating. Visitation will be from 3-6 p.m. on the same day. Following the service, a reception will be held at the Red Wing Elk's Lodge. Memorials are preferred to a charity of the donor's choice.
