Judith Faye Winchester, age 83, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2024. Judith was born on October 11, 1940, to Forrest and Opal Caswell in East St. Louis, IL. Judith was the beloved wife of Frederick (Bud) Winchester who passed away on June 17, 1994. They were married on November 3, 1956.

Judith was a loving mother of nine: Frederick (Rick) Winchester, Penny McIntosh, Vivian (Terry) Skelley, Gloria (Tom O'Brien) Winchester-O'Brien, Donald Winchester, Randall Winchester, Tracy (Randy) Schaefer, Tammy Winchester, and Christopher Winchester. She was a proud grandmother to 20 grandchildren, Angela (Keith) Hodge, Andrea (Kyle) Monroe, Thomas Winchester, Christopher Winchester, Tonica (Keith) Lumpkin, Jessica (Rick) Mahan, Benjamin (Megan) McIntosh, Nicholas (Krysta) Brown, Kara (Josh) Morgan, Dustin (Nakia) Brown, Michael Skelley, Matthew Skelley, Ian O'Brien, Dylan Winchester, Donald Winchester, Chelsea (Chris) Atkinson, Adam (Megan) Schaefer, Katelyn Schaefer, Tylor (Cecelia) Schaefer, Forrest (Melanie) Norman, Levi Norman, Larissa Norman.

30 great-grandchildren, 6 bonus great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Judith will be reunited in heaven by her loving husband Fred, Son Rick Winchester, Grandson Adam Schaefer, Grandson Keith Hodge, Bonus Grandson Grant Hodge, Great Grandson Joshua Carver, and bonus Great Grandson Trace Olson.

A passionate admirer of Elvis Presley, Judith worked as a tour guide at Graceland in Memphis, TN, for several years, sharing her love for the King of Rock and Roll with visitors from around the world. She was also an avid reader and cherished sending birthday cards to every child, grandchild, great-grandchild, great-great-grandchild, and their significant others, as well as many friends and family members. Her handwritten letters and cards were a testament to her love and attention to detail, and she left strict instructions to ensure that the greeting cards she had prepared for upcoming birthdays were sent on time.

Judith had a special place in her heart for Labrador Retrievers. She had the gift of gab, always engaging in lively conversations and making those around her feel cherished.

In keeping with her wishes, no formal service will be held. The family invites friends and loved ones to remember Judith in their own special way. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to your local animal shelter, honoring Judith's love for animals.

Judith's vibrant spirit, loving nature, and dedication to her family and friends will be deeply missed. Her legacy of love, care, and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
