Judith Kay "Judy" O'Reilly, 68, of Belle Plaine, died on February 2, 2020, at Praha Village Senior Living in New Prague. She was born in Red Wing on December 19, 1951 to Harry and Margaret (Heitman) Diercks. She graduated from Goodhue High School in 1969 and attended college at St. Cloud State University. She was united in marriage to Jim O'Reilly on August 9, 1969, at Holy Trinity Church in Goodhue. They lived in various cities in Minnesota and Michigan before making their home in Belle Plaine in 1980, where they raised their four children. Judy worked for many years as an educational assistant for the Belle Plaine School District. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, bird watching, camping, and biking.
She is survived by her four children, Michelle (Alvin) Gonzales, Erin (Jason) Noll, Shane (Katie) O'Reilly, and Brigid (John) Cline; nine grandchildren, Adam, Noah, Kevin, Kailey, Anthony, Malachi, Devin, Reilly, and Jack; siblings, Stanley (Marilyn) Diercks, John (Elaine) Diercks, Dean (Mary Ann) Diercks, Marcia (Dean) Luhman, Ruth (Dick) Berg, Jerry (Sue) Diercks, and Kathleen (Fran) Jonas; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dr. James O'Reilly in 2018; and her siblings, Roger, Maxine, Edith, Ralph, and Richard.
Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 7, 2020, at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2020, at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Memorials are preferred to the Order of St. Benedicts or the American Cancer Society. Online condolences can be left for the family at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com.
