Judith Anderson

Judith T. Anderson Judith Tornes Anderson, 91, of rural Lake City died at the Lake City Nursing Home on Monday, September 4, 2006. Mrs. Anderson was born in Minneapolis, MN, on September 22, 1914, to Johannes K. Tornes and Aagot Hagen Tornes. She graduated from Minneapolis Roosevelt High School and attended the University of Minnesota for two years. Judith married Sigurd H. Anderson in 1938. They lived in the south during the war years returning to MN in 1945. She worked as an executive secretary for the Bowman Company, General Mills and Engineering Laboratory Design. Her husband, parents and two brothers preceded her in death. She is survived by a daughter, Mari Waters of Lake City, and two sons, Sigurd W. (Sharon) and Gordon (Kristen) of Lake City, eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Funeral at First Lutheran Church, Lake City, Friday, September 8th, 11:00 AM with Rev. Darren Paulson officiating. Friends may also call one hour before the service at the church. Memorials to First Lutheran Church and Lutheran Social Service of MN are preferred.
