Juanita Belle Nicholas

Juanita Belle Matthews was born October 3, 1919 in the Borough of New Brighton, Beaver County, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter and fifth child of Clarence and Laura Matthews. She married Thaddeus Collins Nicholas in 1943. Juanita spent most of her married life in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She graduated from college in Minneapolis and worked for the Minneapolis Public School System for over 30 years. She was active in league bowling and many card clubs. She and Thaddeus raised their only child, Watson (Mary), formerly of Lake City, Minnesota and now of Sebastian, Florida.
Juanita's retirement years were spent in Lake City, Minnesota.
Juanita grandchildren, Brittany and Annikki, and her great-grandchild Kamiah Belle, were the shining stars in her life. Thaddeus, her husband, predeceased Juanita on April 24th, 2013 in Lake City, Minnesota.
Services will be held on Monday, February 17, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Lakewood Cemetery Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis Minn. On line condolences may be left for the family at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com
